These two recipes are certain to make you a force to be reckoned with! The anti-inflammatory properties of the turmeric smoothie paired with the satisfying protein and fiber of the chia seeds will leave you with all the energy you need to take on your day. Our chia seed pudding recipe was adopted from Eating Bird Food, a website here to provide people with the best whole food recipes. Our tropical turmeric smoothie was also inspired by our favorite cookbook, Effortless Vegan. To add a little extra flavor we like to top off our chia seed pudding with fresh or frozen fruit. These recipes are open to customization and we encourage you to make it your own!

Chia Seed Pudding Recipe Adapted From Eating Bird Food

Ingredients:
1 cup of almond milk
4 tablespoons of chia seeds
½ tablespoon of maple syrup
¼ tablespoon of vanilla extract (optional)

1. Stir together four tablespoons of chia seeds for every one cup of liquid. Add maple syrup and vanilla extract for flavor.
2. Once well combined, let the mixture sit for five minutes. After the five minutes have passed, give the mixture another good stir to make sure there are no clumps.
3. Place the mixture in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours or overnight
4. Top with your favorite fruit or granola and enjoy!

Tropical Turmeric Smoothie

1 cup almond milk
3 medjool dates (pits removed)
1 small carrot (peeled and chopped)
¼ cup frozen mango chunks
¼ cup frozen pineapple chunks
½ cup crushed ice
¾ teaspoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender. Blend on high until smooth, about 3 to 4 minutes.
2. Top with chia seeds and enjoy.
